The season begins:
Here we are, finally starting again.
After the many successes of last season, he is starting to "push" again to build the conditioning for a new exciting competitive season.
Where to start? Definitely by designing the seasonal plan and, therefore, study the periodization of the training we want to be able to do.
As we know, there are always differences between paper and real programming due to the various events that take place during the year, from muscle soreness to structural overload, from the change of some dates on the calendar to changes due to unexpected events.
This does not mean that what has been written will not be followed, it means that the so-called adjustments will be made on the go. The important thing is to have clear ideas and, above all, to agree individual objectives with the athletes in order to increase performance in competition.
It is not enough to increase the loads to say that you have become stronger, the goal is to transfer the ability to modulate the force in the competitive technical gesture and in competition situations.
In words it seems easy, but I assure you it is not. Periodic functional evaluation tests help us to make as few mistakes as possible, but observation, study and the continuous search for feedback are the essence of the Strength Coach's work in support of athletes.
There's no shortage of ideas, now it's time to put them into practice!
Strength is nothing without control
