FIPE Strength Academy EDITION YEAR: 2017 PAGES: 88 The significant attention that at this moment has focused on the exercises of Olympic Weightlifting has led FIPE to propose a sort of introductory guide. The idea of presenting these exercises with the help of beginner and intermediate athletes, with some examples of higher technical value than national athletes, presents characteristics of conformity with the spirit that inspired the realization of the work: to provide precise guidelines to those approaching weightlifting and at the same time offering some more operational tools to those who have recently practiced it. With this aim we wanted to indicate a path that starts from the warm-up, passes through the didactics of the exercises and ends with the cool-down practices. It was also considered appropriate to propose a significant battery of evaluation tests useful for technicians and coaches to define the characteristics of the subjects to be physically prepared, indications on the most frequent execution errors and on those aspects of weightlifting that make the specialty particularly useful for preparation for other sports. An overview of the equipment that is normally used in weightlifting helps to clarify the environmental context in which one moves.
